Architecture starts with analyzing the existing conditions, listening to the client's needs, researching the situation, and helping the owner or client develop a criteria or "program" from which a feasible design solution can be derived. Architecture is an every-evolving process, soliciting and incorporating ideas from stakeholders, occupants, builders, engineers, developers, material suppliers, agencies and consultants. Nothing gets built until it is presented in a form others can understand and support.
Architecture is a passion, part art, part engineering and part behavioral science. If the General Contractor is the conductor of an orchestra of builders, then the Architect is the composer of the notes that make your building.
