PFA Architects

Founded in 1965 as Padgett + Freeman Architects and rebranded as PFA Architects in 2015, we have been a leader in the architecture and design community of Western North Carolina for over 50 years. Our projects include the programming, planning, and design of new buildings as wells as the renovation and transformation of existing structures for large and small clients alike. With expertise in education, healthcare, government, and civic and cultural projects, we have successfully completed hundreds of projects throughout the region.

Interior design provides the most intimate experience of architecture and is integral to creating cohesive designs that provide clients with the durability, function, and style. For all building projects, we provide services from programming, pre-design, and schematics through construction documents and construction administration. Provided within our services are structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing system designs with reliable and experienced consultants. Daylighting consultation is also available when required for the project. Services can be adjusted on an individual client basis when necessary.
