My home had a leak due to old faulty gutters where water didn't drain from the upper roof via the gutters, instead it used to just come over the top of the gutters into the dirt below. They came out and gave me a reasonable estimate to replace the gutters in that area and did a unique drain solution. The job took a couple of hours. They performed a professional job. To date, we have had ZERO water leaks in the basement. They did a great job! I would recommend their expertise to others who might face similar issues.

Great experience with Don Hoover and his competent, speedy crew. My roof had developed a pretty serious link. Within a couple of weeks (my desired schedule--they could have come sooner): brand new handsome roof, much needed new drainpipes, no more leaks. The roof and drainpipes took a day and a half--done! Don is promptly responsive to calls, questions, and concerns. Prices are reasonable, and if there are any changes to the estimate and contract as work progresses, he won't proceed without your written approval. Clean-up was thorough, and when Don saw that a couple of my plants near the house had been damaged, he replaced them with even nicer ones. Careful attention to corona virus precautions throughout. Couldn't have gone more smoothly.

We had issues with our roof just installed by a different company. We had Hoover come to give us an estimate and ideas for how to fix all the issues. They were very helpful and patient as I explained what the issues were, how they could be fixed, etc. In the end the original roofer made the repairs but we would definitely use Hoover for any future issues.

I have used Don Hoover and his crew for a few roofing jobs (including annual maintenance on an 80-year-old slate roof) and each time have been very satisfied with the process and the job. He's a very good communicator and uses emails and texts to coordinate, is helpful in communicating issues and options, and the work was done on time at the price quoted.
His crew is friendly and courteous and goes the extra mile to clean things up when the project is done. Don's crew was picking up blown trash from my neighbor's trashcan on trash pickup day in addition to the slate shingles they removed!
He and his crew take pride in the work they do and I would highly recommend him. We have the best looking roof in the neighborhood!

We started off trusting Don and his team, when they made a repair to our roof and recommended a coating that we contracted for. Within 1 year we had leaks, however, and Don no longer returned calls to resolve the problem. We tried repeatedly to get a satisfactory resolution from Hoover and the coating manufacturer but they did not make it right. Don't use them.

I don't feel right leaving am unfavorable review when I didn't have work done, but it took them more than a week to get a quote to me for one repair when I had asked for a quote for all aspects of the roof.
The quote itself seemed high, but I am not a roofing expert. The guy who came out was fantastic and knowledgeable, although I'm not really sure why he couldn't just tell me the cost at the time.

I arranged to have 40 damaged slate roof tiles replaced. He was professional, responsive, and punctual. I live abroad and was arranging a repair on my home in Maryland that I am now renting out. I was nervous about finding someone reliable but everything worked out perfectly. Don took photos of tiles in need of replacement and then took photos of work done. Couldn't have asked for a better experience repairing my roof. Will hire again for future work.

I had some work done at my house by a contractor and by looking at the roof, I knew it didn't look right. I found Don Hoover of Hoover Roofing, LLC online (read a great review here about him) and sent him email about what I thought were the issues (as far as I could visibly see). He made an appointment with me right away and came out to take a look at my concerns. He did this on his own time and expense plus spent a lot of time explaining all the issues to me. He went up and looked at everything, sent me photos including what should be corrected. With his 40 years experience in the field and his wonderful customer service I would highly recommend him! I was very impressed with everything and especially with the professionalism, honesty, kindness and experience he shared with me.

We have used the services of Hoover Roofing LLC on two occasions and both times were very pleased with the experience. The first work performed was replacing broken slates and installing new flashing on our 80 year old slate roof. Hoover Roofing was recommended by a contractor who was doing several renovations on our house and he spoke highly of them. He was right. From our introduction forward they were professional, courteous, timely and helpful in explaining options to the needed work. They arrived on time and when finished cleaned up so their having been there was not noticeable.
Our second experience was this past spring when we needed repairs to both the roof and gutters due to the heay winter snows. They came the day after we contacted them, assessed the damage plus pointed our some improvements that could mitigate problems in the future. Their cost estimate was detailed and supported by photographs showing the damage and required work. They were willing to start when we were; however, the entire project was delayed by insurance issues. They were patient and worked with us on adjusting some elements of the project as well as pointing out shortcomings of what was proposed by the insurer and their contractor.
Once we finally got everything resolved they set to work and again they were professional and timely. If they said they would be there at 8 a.m. you could count on them being there by 7:55 with their equipment and ready to start work. They installed upgraded snow guards, replaced cracked and broken slates, waterproofed around soil pipes and installed new gutters and fascia boards. Again, they left nothing behind and even managed to leave then blooming flower beds undisturbed.
We certainly will use them again, if necessary, and highly recommend them to others. They met all expecations of a quality service provider.
