We understand that the act of creating beautiful and lasting buildings does not rest with us alone. Our orchestration of each project's engineers, builders, artisans, landscape architects and interior designers is a disciplined and collaborative process. Our success rests in our blending of creativity, collaboration, leadership and expertise. With each commission we receive, we're being entrusted with our client's vision for their project. But while those visions may vary in terms of both direction and specificity, there remains a similarity of purpose and approach.
To us, sustainable design means more than just incorporating green, energy-efficient building components into a structure. In designing buildings that are well-planned, timeless in appearance and expertly crafted, we lay the groundwork for permanence - which is inherently green. This has been the Hammond Wilson way for decades. In every design, we give considerable thought to the placement of the structure on the site - as it relates to the vistas, particularly how each room will be used, the impact of the elements, and the costs of heating and cooling.
