Woodman Associate's commercial work includes Banks, Offices, Mixed Use Buildings and Retail Shopping Developments in which we continue to bring together our expertise in new construction, renovation and urban revitalization.
We employ a collaborative design process in which we seek to involve our clients, staff and, when appropriate, community representatives in the context of problem solving and concept development. When process is informed by a wide and diverse range of input, the result is enhanced creativity and strong working relationships. Woodman Associates has the ability to produce comprehensive, photorealistic 3-D drawings and renderings, including movies of building exteriors and walk-throughs. Such renderings and animation capabilities represent a significant advance in the architect's ability to communicate design concepts with regulatory agencies, and most importantly, with clients.
Founded in 1972 by Jonathan J. Woodman, an activist with a sense of the value of historic preservation and revitalization, Woodman Associates Architects has focused its creative energies on the cities of the Merrimack Valley and particularly, Newburyport, Massachusetts. Woodman Associates has a long history of the adaptive reuse of buildings. Many of our firm's early efforts provided a catalyst for local downtowns, encouraging them to capitalize on their unique character, while saving and revitalizing many underutilized buildings.
