David Matero Architecture, a small, yet diverse full-service architectural firm, begins each project by listening to the Client. After all, it is their project. Our design process can be broken down into six phases that often overlap and are combined, depending on the complexity of the project and whether it is a residential or commercial project. Discussions with the owner to review goals, needs and requirement are critical to establishing the scope of work. It is our job to ask questions to get a clear understanding of the ultimate goals of the client.
David Matero Architecture, and before that, DayMatero studio, has provided renovation and new construction design and planning services for projects that include residential, retail, restaurant, schools, offices, and entertainment architecture. Born and raised in Norway, Maine, a rural town about an hour north of Portland, David grew up playing outside - baseball, golf and skiing. After completing his architecture degree at Roger Williams University, he started his architecture career at a medium-sized health-care firm in NYC.
