38 Columbus completes the phased construction of a 38-unit 55+ residential community located on the corner of Bank and Columbus Streets in the heart of the Seymour historic shopping district. A mixed-use project for the Housing Authority of New Haven, Wilmont Crossing is a new 4-story structure with retail space and a community center on the ground floor and 47 one- and two-bedroom apartments on the upper floors. This project included five residential buildings dating from c.1870 to 1917, located in two adjacent towns in the Lower Naugatuck Valley, demolished to the structural frame and renovated to provide 20 one- and two-bedroom apartments.
