Trudoor provides a full line of standard and custom hollow metal doors for new and retrofit construction projects in the commercial, industrial and institutional markets. Hollow Metal Doors are made of channel reinforced steel sheets and filled with insulation materials such as polystyrene, kraft honeycomb, or polyurethane. Standard metal doors are 1-3/4 thick and are prime coat painted. The gray primer finish is suitable for painting. Hollow Metal Doors are shown to have superior performance for strength and durability compared to the alternate materials.

Louvers (door vents) can be added to virtually any commercial steel or wood door. Louvers provide air ventilation between rooms or inside of closets. Louvered doors help ventilate rooms when closed while still providing privacy and security. Louvers are often found inside of restroom and electrical or mechanical closet doors. Frames are manufactured to accommodate any wall condition, including masonry, steel, and wood stud. A wide variety of frame anchors are available. Trudoor is an authorized WHI fire-labeled shop (Warnock Hersey / Intertek), enabling us to modify, re-certify and label fire-rated doors and frames. We fabricate custom hollow metal frames to fit any size opening, including borrowed lite, sidelite and transom frames of any profile. Frames are available in virtually any jamb depth or profile and can be welded or made as knocked down frames.

The active door of the pair is typically prepped for a locking device, such as a lockset or exit device. The inactive door (or fixed door) is prepped for flush bolts (top and bottom) and includes an astragal, which covers or closes the gap between the edges of the doors. Exit devices or push/pull hardware is required to make both doors active.
