Window tint is a film that has been designed to protect your windows from heat caused by sunlight; as well as UV and IR light. In order to accomplish this, dyes, metals, and micro-ceramics are layered between two layers of polyester films. The type, amount, and quality of these materials used in the manufactoring process determine the quality and durability of the finished product; window tinting. While natural sunlight offers plenty of positives for your home, there is a downside to letting the light shine in: increased energy costs, excessive heat, glare, and the fading of interior furnishings.
We recently installed LLumar Dual-Reflective 15 at Terra State Community College. Dual-reflective films are reflective on the exterior and less reflective on the interior, which helps provide clear day and night views. This film shields 99% of UV rays and provides substantial heat rejection.
