The NGA member community is 1,700 companies strong and represents all aspects of the glazing and glass building products industry. NGA was founded in 1948. In 2018, we combined with the Glass Association of North America (GANA) to create the largest trade association serving our industry. Our 1,700 member companies include glazing contractors, full-service glass companies, glass and metal fabricators, primary glass manufacturers and glass building product suppliers. We bring together some of the best minds in the glass industry to develop standards, create technical resources, and promote and advocate for glass in the built environment.
Window + Door is the official publication of NGA's premier trade show, GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo. Window + Door provides manufacturers, distributors and dealers of residential windows, doors and skylights focused news coverage; insightful articles on market and design trends; regular columns with insider info on codes, legal issues and marketing ideas; full coverage of new products and trends, as well as operations and technology. Published eight times a year, including the annual Fenestration Buying Guide, Window + Door also publishes Window + Door Weekly, WindowandDoor.com and WindowandDoorDigital.com.
NGA's advocacy and technical initiatives respond to the relentless, ever-changing challenges to our industry. We thank our volunteer members, industry partners and expert consultants who work tirelessly to ensure glass and glazing is at the forefront of all discussions impacting building regulations and innovation in construction. NGA is actively involved with standards and codes bodies including the International Codes Council, ASTM International and ASHRAE, among others, to promote and defend the use of glass in the built environment.
The NGA's four leading market research programs, published by Glass Magazine and Window + Door, provide critical industry performance data and information about the North American glass, glazing and fenestration markets. The annual report features the leading suppliers of metal products in the United States and Canada. It includes companies that manufacture, fabricate and sell curtain wall, storefront and entrances, commercial interior and exterior railings, aluminum composite panels and exterior sun-control products to the glass and glazing industry.
