As the first contractor in the United States with a Sealant Waterproofing and Restoration (SWR) Institute validated training program, we have the training, experience, knowledge and expertise required for the proper installation of sealants, waterproofing, moisture protection and firestopping systems to meet your needs. It is great to work with a company that approaches every aspect of a project with the level of professionalism and pride that GDA does. Their involvement in industry organizations and their training programs demonstrate their commitment to excellence.
George D. Alan combined their waterproofing, construction and business experience to form The George D. Alan Company. The three veterans of the waterproofing industry simply wanted to focus on developing a waterproofing company that concentrated on providing superior customer service, with a highly motivated team in a well-designed business environment. The same spirit of teamwork lives on today with additions to the ownership group that allow us to maintain and grow strong leadership. This focus has helped our group of companies grow and expand into Austin, Houston, Oklahoma City and Albuquerque.
Our group of companies provides a wide variety of services that are typically classified as "waterproofing". Generally, waterproofing is not defined as an individual system, but as a construction process that involves all the exterior building components. Waterproofing is a combination of materials or systems that prevent water intrusion into structural elements or finished spaces of the building. These materials or systems may fall into sub-categories such as air/vapor barriers, moisture protection, caulking and sealants, below and above grade waterproofing membranes, drainage materials, as well as exterior cladding and concrete sealers.
Our group of companies has a vast experience with many types of waterproofing material, both above and below grade. These materials and systems may include sheet waterproofing, bentonite, spray and roller applied liquid membranes, hot applied rubberized asphalt, crystalline materials and drainage materials. The type of system utilized will be determined by the design professional and the intended location (horizontal, vertical, above or below grade). Our staff has the training and expertise to properly install these systems.
