Established in 1991, Hartshorn Custom Contracting currently employs 35 full time employees. We seldom use subcontractors. Over the years we have grown from a 4-man operation to over 100 during the building boom, but we have never changed our philosophy of prompt, courteous service at a competitive price. At HCC we are large enough to screen an entire community and small enough to screen your lanai. All jobs are permitted as required. Although my job was delayed due to the ability to obtain permits and get materials (Covid related) the project manager (Richard) kept me informed of progress along the way. He was very helpful and always willing to answer any questions I had.
When the job started, there were some minor issues with the initial measurements but Scott (install supervisor) was quick to reach out and fully resolve .
My install crew, led by Bryan H, was awesome. Respectful of my property throughout the install, cleaned up everything when they were done, kept me informed and the end result is amazing. I am very happy with the quality of materials and the look of my new pool enclosure. Thank you Bryan!
From the very first meeting with sales (Greg) to the final walkthrough of the finished job I have been impressed with the professionalism of this company and would highly recommend them!

We cannot say enough about how pleased we are with the entire staff and crew at Hartshorn.
We initially placed our order back in July and although we knew it would be several months before install, we were called every few weeks to check in and let us know where we stood on the process. (Design, permit, etc.)
Once the install process began, we were happy to see that the professionalism and quality of work didn’t stop with just office staff. The crew that came out went above and beyond! Not only did they pay attention to detail, they got things done efficiently and beautifully.
After the install they cleaned up all the trash and debris and basically just left us with the job of just enjoying our new cage. Pretty much a turn key operation.
THANK YOU to the entire staff, but specifically the crew: ERIC, CHRIS, LOGAN and JORDAN. You guys did an outstanding job!!

I thought I made a good choice based on the good sales pitch. Not the case , after realizing the salesman dropped the ball on discussing and me accepting terms of “out of scope “ work related directly to the project, it only got worse from there. Bad communication , bad quality control, zero accountability , bad safety practices. That is just keeping it somewhat short. I will mention damage to my house that was only patched and not painted, seams not flush , missing fasteners , pulling aluminum shavings out of my pump. The list could continue . Nothing that I should have received paying almost 12k in full . Would never recommend.

Hartshorn did an excellent job with the installation of the screen enclosure on the extension of my lanai. Richard was my sales person, Scott was scheduling and resolved any questions or issues that arose, Perry started the install and Robert and Ray completed the installation. The job was done very well and I would highly recommend them.

Tim and Scott both were excellent to work with. They were prompt, professional, and they did an amazing job on my screened in back porch. I was very happy with their work and I would recommend them to anyone interested in installing screens into their homes.

We had a great experience with Hartshorn. Richard and his team designed an amazing cage for our pool. It looks so much better than our previous design. We did 2 panoramic screens. Our view is amazing now! I was really impressed with their design. We got several estimates, but most companies wanted to keep the same design (which was not a good look) so they didn’t have to go to the trouble. We are really happy!
