Andy Wildenberg graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in Real Estate and Construction Management and has been involved in property ownership and management for over 40 years and energy efficiency for over 10 years. Andy specializes in building sciences and energy conservation including energy auditing, manual jds calculations, REScheck and COMcheck compliance, air and duct leakage testing, and insulation inspection. Andy is also our resident drone pilot and operator. As founding partner of e3 Power, Andy believes in the axiom "Use what you need, not what you can".
We at E3 Power use the "building as a system" strategy along with diagnostic testing to provide energy-saving options to increase the comfort, health, safety, and durability of your home. We can also analyze your home attic insulation and air sealing in Denver CO and vapor barrier levels in order to qualify for Xcel Energy rebates. A blower door is used to depressurize the building and simulates an approximate 20mph wind on all sides of the building. This aids us in finding areas and space of the exterior walls that provide paths for energy exchange to the outdoors.
Lighting typically consumes up to 35% of the electricity used in commercial buildings and produces excess heat gains. Retrofitting existing lighting with efficient fixtures, light sources, and controls can improve the visual environment, reduce lighting energy use, and affect the sizing of HVAC and electrical systems. Current lighting retrofits show a reduction of 40-60% in lighting costs. The lighting consultants at E3 Power assess your current lighting systems electrical demand and create economical retrofit solutions to increase lighting efficiencies and improve the quality of light for your given tasks.
