Rubber is a much more economical alternative to metal roofs. This is the best option for many low sloped roofs. Rubber roofs can be trimmed out in the metal of your choice to match the house or flashings on the main roof. From the ground it will look no different than a metal roof and will provide you with peace of mind for 20+ years.
Tile roofs require precision, due to a dual layer system. Only 90% of rainwater is drained by the tiles themselves; the other 10% is drained by the underlayment -this can leak and can be difficult to track down to its source. Precision Slate and Tile roofers have the expertise and integrity to find underlayment failings. We always replace the underlayment after roof repairs.
At Precision Slate & Tile we have the knowledge and expertise to install and repair any type of metalwork. We are experts in decorative metalwork, and have overseen many ornate metal projects on churches, schools, barns, and more. We have mobile panel makers available. We can do standing-seam metalwork; We go up the walls without making cuts in the solder joints. We use hand-soldered metal work on all metal roofs and flashings. We use specialty tools that have been used for centuries to ensure the work is done properly.
Whether it's copper gutters, galvanized, or box gutters, we are specially trained for all of your repair or replacement needs. Gutters form an essential section of a roofing system. When gutters are properly installed and maintained they prevent water from backing up under roofing materials and causing leaks. Gutters do wear out over time and they should be checked periodically for damage and normal wear and tear. All of our gutter work is guaranteed to meet the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractor's National Association's specifications.
Thermoplastic Polyolefin can come in many colors and are bonded together with specialty tools. TPO is commercial grade roof mandated by many industries on their flat roofs, but can be used in a residential setting in place of rubber on a low sloped pitch. The advantage to TPO is you can get a full system warranty for up to 30 years.
Though are name may indicate otherwise, Precision Slate & Tile doesn't just specialize in slate and tile. We also install asphalt shingles to match manufacturer specifications. We install fiberglass and organic shingles. We match asphalt shingles and flashing to the original look of the building. We use hand-soldered flashing on many of our asphalt projects, just as we do with our slate and tile projects.
Loose or improperly installed slates, on a roof, can cause leaks and internal damage to a home. Precision Slate and Tile has the expertise and access to many distributors throughout North America to match salvaged slate for your historic restoration.
Precision Slate & Tile offers full pointing, rebuilding and spot pointing of exterior chimneys and masonry. We are experts at color matching the mortar and we also match the type of aggregate in the mortar. Often times spot pointing is much more economical versus fully pointing. We are able to work within your budget to address your masonry needs. Water sealing your chimney is another great option to preserve mortar joints, bricks and crowns from the freeze/thaw cycles here in Ohio. Along with your masonry needs we can also install aluminum, stainless steel or copper animal/water barriers to protect entire top of chimney.

Always get a professional roofing contractor who has experience with all types of roofing materials to inspect and repair your roof.

It was great working with Precision. I received a call back shortly after placing an inquiry and Mark was quick to come out and give us an estimate. They completed the work well but there were a few patches of gutter that were not painted. After talking with Precision they quickly sent out a crew to touch up the gutters and they look great and move water like they should. I would have them back again if we need anything else with our box gutters.
Quote was very competitively priced (lower than other reputable service providers who provided quotes), work was completed in timely manner and no further issues with leaking after work was performed. Would use company again for any roof issues.
Communication with the company is very difficult as they don't have an office staff. If you call Ed on his cell phone then you have good communication and they will do a great job. They really know how to fix slate and their prices are very good.
