Stucco is a finish that has been around for thousands of years. Stucco is simply composed of cement, sand, lime and water. It can be hand mixed with a cement-hoe or machine mixed. Typically stucco is directly hand applied to cover less visually appealing constructions materials such as sound unpainted brick, concrete or cinderblocks. Traditional stucco has lost its appeal in the last 40-50 years as the introduction of EIFS has taken over the market that was once limited to stucco.

Drywall, plasterboard, wallboard, rock lath, sheetrock are also called gypsum board and are panels made of gypsum plaster pressed between two thick sheets of paper, the panels are used to make interior walls and ceilings.
