Wallace Safe & Lock

The Wallace Company was started in 1945 by OB Wallace. It was operated out of OB's garage at 128 N. College Street. As his business grew, it needed more room. He decided to move to Blacks Garage, 430 College Street, as Wallace Saw & Machine Works. Within a year's time it again had outgrown its surroundings and made another move to 820 Main Street. At this time, it became Wallace Machine Works. The business thrived and grew. In the 1960s, we became an Authorized Genie Garage Door Operator Dealer, adding to the many services we offered.
