Westfield Volunteer Fire Department

Each year, the Fire Marshal's inspect each business, daycare, school, and apartment building. These inspections are to ensure that the buildings are safe for residents and follow the Connecticut State Fire Safety Code. This code regulates safety features such as Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Suppression Systems, Means of Egress, Building Construction, and Maintenance Issues. In order to construct a new building within the District, you must apply for a City of Middletown Building Permit. Permit applications can be obtained from the Building Department located at Town Hall (245 deKoven Drive, Middletown).
