In 1914, my grandfather emigrated from Germany, looking to improve his fortunes. American Roofing & Metal Co is the BEST roofing company in the Louisville area. They have always helped us with any roofing issue we have ever had and even repaired damage done by another roofing company on a rental house we purchased. They are always timely, efficient, courteous, and do the job right the first time!! I would never even consider using any other roofing company! Additionally, their prices are definitely the best.

Approximately 3-4 years prior to replacing the roofs of 10 buildings (38 homes), we used American Roofing to maintain our roofs to extend the lifetime of the roofs: gutter cleaning, facia repairs, tile replacements and drone inspections for wind damage, etc. Finally, the time came to replace our roofs and gutters. The HOA Board of Directors received bids from numerous well-established roofers, but ultimately chose American Roofing and Metal. As an HOA having to replace the roofs of 38 residents (10 buildings), we were absolutely delighted with American Roofing on all accounts: inspections, proposals, detailed contract, timely and very professional work ethics, smooth installation process and final inspection review. We would gladly recommend American Roofing and Metal who seemed to bend over backwards to accommodate us both financially and with service. Kudos to Travis Goetz who guided and overlooked the entire process from beginning to end.

American Roofing just completed a new roof on our Gazebo & did an outstanding job. George Hart, VP Residential, was so helpful working out exactly what we wanted as a replacement roof & following up on details. We were treated as a valued customer, which is hard to find these days. They definitely have our recommendation for any future roofing needs.
Still waiting to hear from them. Never call or email was told be at house last Tuesday no show or call. Customer service is the pits. Quick to give me quote to do the work another story on doing the job. Guessing they do not want the job. Been going on since January.
I was disappointed with my experience with American Roofing and Metal. They recommended a list of repairs and maintenance for our roof, one of those being to scrape and paint a section of metal outside of two of our 2nd floor windows at a cost of $425. Less than a year and a half later one of those sections was peeling badly leaving the metal exposed. This was due to the material they used and was not normal wear and tear. Their solution was that they would redo the work on one of the windows for $300. A company that does a poor job, and then expects you to pay more than the cost of the original job to make it right is not a company I can recommend to others.
My sun porch was leaking. I called American who had been to my home previously for another problem. They could not come right away- so I hoped for dry weather and a cancellation. Within 1/2 hour they called and I was rushing home to meet the technician. Hooray. He analyzed my problem which was not as bad as I had assumed. He explained in detail what was wrong. We problemsolved and he quickly went to work. He even showed me pictures of the damage and discussed with me how he would be fixing the problem with the slates. He was on task, efficient and professional. I received my bill and was even more satisfied. It was very reasonable. Thank you.
