J Wanamaker Cabinetry is a fine custom cabinet shop founded by owner and builder James Wanamaker, a West Seattle resident dedicated to building high-quality residential cabinetry in the greater Puget Sound area. James has been designing and building custom cabinetry since 1999. After building custom cabinetry for clients from a home woodshop, he went on to run operations for over 8 years at a well-established custom cabinet shop in the Greenwood neighborhood. In 2009 James opened J Wanamaker Cabinetry & Woodwork, now simply called J Wanamaker Cabinetry.
Located in Seattle, Washington in the South Park neighborhood, our 1800 square foot facility is perfectly suited to building one-of-a-kind residential custom cabinets. While having invested in top-quality machinery to perform specialized tasks, we also use time-tested woodworking methods and skills on nearly every cabinet project. As part of our shop, we have a small, but detailed sample showroom where you can see and feel and discussthe cabinetry we build. You can open doors and drawers and test other samples of the hardware we use.
