Founded in 1985 as Long Branch Manufacturing and Design by brothers Bill and Ed Poandl with the vision of creating high quality furniture and built in cabinetry, LBM Design has evolved into one of the area's most capable and reliable custom millwork shops. With the significant growth in residential building in New Jersey's Monmouth and Ocean county areas, our focus has shifted from primarily small residential cabinetry work to high-end custom cabinetry and millwork for large homes and commercial businesses.
Our approach through the years has always been to embrace the latest technology to craft our work and to continually invest in that technology. Our Weeke Vantage 36L CNC Router is an example of that philosophy. The router has a 5 ft. Our Weinig feed through moulder and Mikron 645 multi-moulder combine to allow our shop to efficiently produce both linear and radius mouldings in any available wood. The quality of our moulding is unsurpassed and our pricing is highly competitive in the local market.
Everything we produce in our shop starts the same way, from an accurate drawing. Whether it is produced in CAD, CabinetVision, or as a "shop drawing" by our draftsmen, this method ensures both our customer and our craftsman know exactly what to expect. Meticulous attention to detail is applied throughout the production process, from assessing the customers' requirements through proper joinery technique. We buy our wood and material from trusted domestic suppliers throughout the USA. Our shop and equipment render our production capabilities nearly limitless.
