Signature Gallery was founded in 1987 by Edward and Sherrie Schoen as a showroom featuring all handmade and signed pieces of decorative art and furniture. After showrooms in Paoli and Skippack, PA we consolidated and are now located in only in Royersford, PA where our furniture is created and shown in an brick industrial building along the Schuylkill River. Our designs offer options for style, functionality, and accessibility. With pieces from our Sagano line for the bedroom plus more traditional styles like a Pencil Post or Sleigh bed, your room will show total comfort. Additionally, with painted vanities and pull out drawers, hidden storage behind mirrors, or unusual shape cabinets with exotic woods, the choices are limitless. You may choose your wood, finish color, and / or design with our help if needed to achieve the look you are after.
My beginnings as a cabinetmaker started when I attended the first class of The College of the Redwoods in Fort Bragg, California, studing under James Krenov and graduating in 1982. Sherrie and I started Signature Gallery in 1987 as a retail store offering a collection of handmade items, signed by the artist. We have since moved on to our current cabinet shop location where we make our furniture. In our small showroom, you can see completed pieces or projects in the works. We are a small business with 3 of us working in the shop, and it is here we can meet to discuss your ideas and designs, choose your woods and colors from our samples, as well as setting up an appointment in your home.
We have come up with a number of innovative designs for dining room tables from a simple table with 4 legs to an extension table with self storing leaves, or two tables with conical bases that combine for large gatherings. We can coordinate all of this with custom cabinetry built-ins in both the kitchen and dining room with fresh ideas you won't find at kitchen cabinet companies. Features such as large pantry cabinets with swing out doors, hidden spice racks in pull out columns, and toe-kick drawers for larger flat items will add to your unique design.
Some of the last of our distressed Pine pieces are at their lowest price. Here are a few pictures that show some painted finishes and some stained finishes.
