The tile from Mercury Mosaics is gorgeous. I don't have any in my home yet but I have installed it in several. My clients love this tile more than they expected they would. There is something very personal and timeless about a product carefully produced in small quantities, and tile made by hand is especially attractive for a longer duration than most anything else.
My experience with MM was wonderful from start to end. Even though my kitchen back splash area is tiny and I am 1,500 miles west in LA, they treated me like it was a million dollar job. I got great advice that helped me make a decision on color, and they made custom bullnose pieces in the color I chose. They even sent me pics during the firing and glazing processes.
