As a third-generation builder, company founder Kevin Estes never had any doubt about his path in life. So when he moved to Sequim, Washington, to be near his parents, the first order of business was to build a spec house and put it up for sale. The next year he built and sold two homes. Co-founder Jo Anne Estes made it possible to get Estes Builders off the ground, working a full-time job during those early years to ensure every dollar could be reinvested into the business. After joining the company officially a few years later, Jo Anne's integral role over 30 years included leading the accounting team, managing human resources and payroll, and coordinating with clients and their lenders.

During our design phase, your vision comes to life with a Design Consultant, an Architect, and a small, dedicated team working in the background to meticulously plan every detail of your custom home-from purchasing to permitting to construction. The home you're going to build has never been built before-your happiness level on move-in day is largely tied to how smooth the process goes, the selections you make and how they tie together, and whether your home is delivered on-time and on-budget. We've done this more than 500 times and we've learned a thing or two about the planning and execution required for a fun and successful custom home build.

A great reputation isn't built over-night. We've been building in Western Washington since 1989 and many of our employees have been here 20 years or more. Many of our trade partners have worked with us for 20 years or more. Much of our business comes from happy clients and their happy neighbors, or members of the communities in the areas we serve.
