Nate Porter, owner of Porter Homes, started his company in 2007 with the goal of becoming one of the Western Slope's premiere builders. Nate's passion for building and his career in the construction industry began years before when, after graduating from Mesa State College, his love for the outdoors led him to Telluride to train and learn everything from foundation to finish. He now is an active part of the community as well as the HBA Northwestern Colorado. When he is not on the job site or meeting with clients, he enjoys mountain biking and outings with his family which includes his wife, Brenda of 14 years and their five children.

We're in the process of building our dream home in Redlands Mesa, and even though we are far from finished I am compelled to write about our Builders – Porter Homes.
This is our first time building, but quite obviously it is not theirs. They have been there for us from the get go. There have been changes, and 'uh-oh' moments.. and yet the Porter Home folks have creatively worked through the issues that have cropped up – and will continue to crop up. We could not be happier with their responsiveness, flexibility and professionalism.
Some people that I really want to give a special shout out to are: Mike Urlacher, Randy Newberry, and Brittney Kaleikini, but honestly – just everyone at Porter Homes qualifies for a special shout out. They are that good.

My wife and I have built 9 custom homes over the last 25 year - when we retired to Grand Junction in 2012 - we researched local builders and settled on Porter Homes. We have been in the completed home for three years and could not be more pleased. The quality of the work is outstanding and the people at Porter Homes are exceptional.
I am so excited for the fabulous subs we have teaming up on these next jobs! Scheduling is a full time team effort with so many people moving to our valley and so much going on. We are blessed to work with the best!
