We have completed electrical projects ranging from one-hour service calls to large-scale, multi-million dollar projects. Our work experience includes facilities for healthcare, commercial, data centers, industrial, food processing, education and religious, institutional, retail and housing.
Design/Build combines planning and design, procurement, negotiation and scheduling as a construction delivery method versus the traditional design-bid-build process. It provides for a single point of responsibility for the success of a project and can reduce the total duration of a project by allowing construction to begin prior to design completion. Additionally, this process allows costing to be incorporated into design decisions, allowing a project to come in at or under budget. Design/Assist brings the contractor into the design team which includes the owner or their representative, the architect, engineer, general contractor and other sub-contractors.
Our Service Coordinators are available from 7AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday to take requests for electrical service. After hours professionals are on call to respond to emergencies.
The NEI Electric story starts with two local electric companies with deep roots in the Twin Cities and Western WI. Claude and Jeanette Anderson started their electrical company, Claude M. Anderson Electric Co., Inc., in the early 1950s. Anderson Electric became a 1952 charter member of the St. Paul Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and incorporated in 1959. East 7th Street building, early 1900's, pictured at left. NEI Northern Electricians, Inc. was founded by Donald Eibs and Marv Roberts; Bob Rawlings became a partner in 1975 and then assumed business clients and valuable employees of both Sherman Electric and Halvorson Electric in the 1990s.
