Very responsive to design modifications which we requested. Friendly, knowledgable, professional, easy to talk to, and timing was pretty good. We love final look. Work quality was good.
We echo the sentiment of dissatisfaction. It is clear to us that this builder's business model is to cut corners, ignore homeowners and move on to their next victim. We had the misfortune of buying one of the "model homes" - cosmetically pleasing, but functionally unacceptable. We took the builder at his word, promising to make it right in the 9 weeks he had before we took possession. However, we have dealt with missing shower drain (draining directly into crawl space), no water hookup, moisture issue in crawl space requiring a dehumidificatio n system be installed, HVAC system with improper load calculations and undersized, a dead tree caused by overgrading, sewer gas escaping into house because pantry shelves were screwed into waste pipe, stained front porch, missing mailbox. and the list goes on and on. I have attempted twice to contact the builder directly and through written correspondence to discuss remediation and have been ignored. Unfortunately, I have now sought the assistance of the SC Residential Builders Association and the Better Business Bureau and will file a formal complaint this week. My objective is to prevent this kind of dangerous construction approach to be perpetuated through a building process clearly focused on profit, and hopefully prevent someone from becoming seriously ill or injured due to his cavalier approach to quality.
My home was completed in May of 2017. This is our retirement home and is the first one we ever had custom built. Tomas, Darryl, Lisa and Mindy were a joy to work with throughout the process. They have been responsive with the few call backs (yes, it happens because there is no such thing as a perfect house) and at the end of the day we are extremely pleased with our new home. As a realtor I have recommended Cobblestone to others and will continue to do so in the future. Good people.
