Advanced Concrete was built from the ground up by the same family who owns and operates the company today. What started in 1989, with a single mobile-mixer, has grown into an operation that services the greater-Madison area. We've grown our fleet of ready-mix concrete trucks, from that single mobile-mixer to a line of 20 trucks, and with that the space and material needed to constantly roll into job sites. Our force is manned by drivers who stay within the Advanced Concrete family for an average of 10 years.
Advanced Concrete Inc. began in the early 1980s when Wally Jankowski got a job maintaining a mixer. When we say we started from the ground up - we mean it! After Wally had managed maintaining a mixer for a couple years, he decided to invest in his own mixer in 1989. Those first three years were 14-hour days, and with no sand and gravel resources of his own, he spent lots of hours trekking back and forth to job sites. Something had to give, especially with all of the business Advanced Concrete Inc. was now bringing in.
Even within the narrowed filter of Madison-based jobs, Wisconsin has never bored us with the work we can do with concrete. Advanced Concrete offers four cements available in stock, and a variety of aggregates available to manufacture custom concrete mix designs. We pride ourselves on being well versed in the different forms ready-mix concrete can take. The perfect mix of cement, sand and stone will not be the same for any given home-build, nor will it be the same for every driveway! Producing concrete the right way, for the right job, takes knowledge and experience.
The Dairy State has called on us to complete a plethora of big agricultural jobs. Whether it's feed pads, grain bins, manure pits or large barnyard paving, agricultural concrete pours can be some of the most demanding job sites. These large scale concrete pours require lots of preparation work and experience to make them run smoothly. Because we often deal with customers who manage large agricultural facilities, strength and durability are always key factors. Manure storage, feed bunkers, grain storage and water tanks are all necessary concrete structures for proper function on a farm.
Advanced Concrete believes that concrete doesn't have to be boring, and it can't be one-size-fits-all! We love working with Butterfield Color to produce amazing colored concrete looks, but adding aggregates (that can hold up in our climate) is another way to produce beautiful concrete projects. Once we lay the aggregate concrete, the contractor has a handful of ways of accomplishing their vision. There is a delicate art around when contractors choose to do things like power-blast the concrete surface to expose the aggregate.
We offer our customers not only second-to-none quality service, but also a catalog of ideas for each of these jobs. If you're looking for the most concrete name in the ready-mix business, give us a call. We not only have colored concrete to open the door to new possibilities, but also have better industry insight into accurate product estimates.
