Awesome group of people running this store! Totally helped a couple of DIYers make a beautiful concrete stained floor in one weekend!
They’ll even add M&M’s, cookie dough, etc....
This applies to salt used on bridges and highways as well. Driving on salted roads will inevitably splash up to the undercarriage of your vehicle. Once thawing begins, the residual salt will drip off of your vehicle to the concrete below resulting in spalling and scaling.
With the ice build up we currently have, It’s tempting to throw out the de-icing salt. If your concrete isn’t sealed with a salt resistant sealer, you’re likely to see damage to your concrete... such as the spalling or scaling pictured.
