Contract Electric was founded in 1959 by Sarge Preston with the help of his wife Patricia Preston. For over 60 years we have proudly served the greater Grand Rapids area and surrounding communities. In 1978, sons Russ, Greg, Doug, and Bryan joined their dad as electricians working in all areas of the electrical field and daily operations of the business. Their sister, Amy, joined the team as well playing a vital role in the internal operations of the office. On April 29, 2007, Sarge Preston retired from his earthly duties to be with the Lord after a brief battle with Acute Leukemia.
