Counts and Dobyns has been contracted by state, county, city and town agencies here in Virginia for their projects. These projects have included the building of roads, clearing of land, utility work, annual municipal contracts, sidewalks, and curb and gutter to name a few.
Counts and Dobyns was founded as Counts Excavation. In 1986, Counts and Dobyns was formed as a partnership. At that time the company began to grow and employed 16 employees under the leadership of Terry P. Dobyns. In 1992 Terry Dobyns became the sole owner and the company continued to expand, consisting of, at present, four (4) divisions: Grading, Utility, Concrete, and Boring. Counts and Dobyns recognized the need to serve the customer with all phases of work provided within one company. This has worked well with clients who prefer one contractor to complete the project.
