If you've ever bought or sold a house with an FPE (federal pacific electric) panel then you know that they're a very expensive problem to fix. We had to replace one as part of the sales contract on our 60s house and I was not looking forward to shelling out close to 2K on a very unsexy repair. Well, thank the dear sweet baby jesus for Jimmy Pittman! He replaced our panel AND put in a ton of GFCI (ground fault interrupter) circuits for less than half of what other electricians were quoting just to replace the panel.
