Testing your pool 2-3 times a week is important to maintain adequate water balance and sanitizer levels plus to insure swimmer comfort. Although drop-type tests are best, test strips are a quick (30 second) means to test the pool for adequate sanitizer levels as well as pH and total alkalinity. Proper testing also ensures that calcium levels are maintained and that there are no metals present in the pool water. You can buy test kits at your local pool store, or take a sample of the pool water to them for testing.
To date we are extremely happy with our Crestwood pool. It's a 24 round that we had incorporated into our backyard deck. It is still as nice as the day it was installed. We couldn't have chosen a nicer pool. Our 6 grandchildren were very young when we got our pool and it made summer visits spectacular. Our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, and other family members continue to enjoy our pool each summer. We have had our above ground Crestwood for eleven years. We have nothing but high praise for the great looks that truly enhance the beauty of our yard, plus the fact that there is no maintenance required.
There are two main types of swimming pools-Inground and Above Ground. The initial difference is how the pool is installed. Inground pools are built into the ground. If you have a large/unlimited budget and you want a feature-rich pool, you may prefer an Inground pool. If you want a feature-rich pool that costs less, requires less maintenance, and has a more natural look than an Inground pool, and it stays warm year round, you would prefer a wooden Above Ground pool.
