The City of Rogers contracts with Randy's Environmental Service to provide curbside recycling collection every other week for all residents. Carts are available in 65 gallon size or call Randy's to request a 95 gallon cart. State statute requires that recycling is made available to all Minnesota residents. Residents pay for this service as part of your Rogers utility bill. Discard food waste and food-soiled paper from meals, your refrigerator and the pantry into a kitchen compost bucket, separate from your other household trash.
The Rogers Fire Department employs a Fire Chief, Fire Inspector and 39 paid-on call firefighters. The Fire Department provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, responds to hazard material accidents, automobile extrication, confined-space events, and responds to ice/water emergencies. The Fire Department is responsible for fire code compliance, fire prevention, preventing fires by inspecting commercial/industrial buildings, emergency management operations, and maintaining an ISO Class 3 rating.
The City of Rogers prides itself in being a growing community with a small town feel. Our population is forecasted to grow to approximately 18,400, by the year 2030, according to the Metropolitan Council. Many different types of residential options are currently available with new developments to come in the near future. In addition to residential developments, schools, great local restaurants, and businesses available in the city, city staff across all departments (administration, finance, fire, information systems, recreation, planning, police, public works, and wines and spirits) work hard to offer a variety of amenities and services to meet the needs of residents and guests.
