Northwestern Design was founded in 1981 by Cal and Judy Schmidt in Rohnert Park, CA, with the objective to provide clients with Architectural Millwork packages in their entirety. NWD became a corporation in 1986, and had already increased its sales to over $1 million per year. In 1992, the entire operation was moved to its current residence in Grants Pass, OR. Continued growth was its destiny, and by 1998, sales had increased to over $3 million per year. Now, over 35 years later, we comfortably produce approximately $10 million per year.
