The Carpenters Training Committee for Northern California (CTCNC) is the educational organization that provides Apprentice, Journey-level, and related training services for Union Carpenters and Union Contractors across the 46 Northern California Counties. CTCNC is governed by a joint Labor and Management trust board, structured as a "collective bargaining based" (Union)organization.
Our Apprenticeship Training Programs have been established for many years and are recognized and registered with the State of California and the Federal Department of Labor. Our Journeylevel Advancement Health & Safety (HS) Training Programs are Cal/OSHA and Fed/OSHA sanctioned. Our Journeylevel Advancement Craft (JAC) Training and Re-Training Programs are certified courses. We serve as the Northern California training affiliate for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America (UBC).
It is like construction "boot camp." It's a fast-paced, intense, industry-driven program that allows you to start developing the skills you will need to succeed as a working Carpenter. Graduates of our Apprenticeship Program are in demand and are the industry leaders of tomorrow. How long is the programA. 6 weeks, classes are held 4 days a week, 9 hour days. Q. Is the program all classroom timeA. NO. The program combines both classroom and shop training. There is a strong emphasis on construction math and job readiness for the industry.
