Welcome to the online home of Local Union 1266 of the Central South Carpenters Regional Council! We are an organization that represents more than 500 skillled, productive, safety-conscious carpenters who work on the largest, most challenging, and high-profile projects in Central Texas. If you're a member, this site will get you in touch with the information you need to maintain your career, skills, and membership. If you're a visitor, this site will demonstrate that we are a strong, versatile, professional manpower and community resource, expertly equipped to be vital, contributing carpenters, neighbors, family members, friends, and citizens.
Local 1266 is Austin's home for Union Carpenters. First founded in 1887 as Local 300 and rechartered as Local 1266 in 1936, it is the second-oldest United Brotherhood of Carpenters local in Texas. We, and the other local unions in the state are affiliated with the Central South Carpenters Regional Council. The United Brotherhood of Carpenters is one of North America's largest building-trades unions, with nearly a half-million members in the construction and wood-products industries. We are leveraging our 130-year history to prepare for tomorrow by training, educating, and representing the next generation of construction professionals.
