In 1984 Ken Schroeder & Ray Christy were both framing houses in the same sub-division. They bumped into each other and started discussing jobs they had worked on. It became an instant friendship which has continued for nearly 40 years. In 1985, Ken and Ray started AWS Carpenter Contractors with the vision of providing the highest quality work from start to finish. Since that time AWS has grown from a small shop with 10 employees to a state-of-the-art office and production facility with 60+ team members based in Clearwater Florida.
