For members not part of the MACTC, you must get pre-approval from your local Training Center Director in order to register for MACTC classes. Please contact your local area Training Center. The UBC's Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) provides real-time training, certification, and qualification reports for UBC members through Training Verification Cards. The Training Verification Cards (TVC) help UBC members track their current training and stay eligible for future training. The individual, wallet-sized card includes a QR code which, when scanned, displays verification for each member's training, certifications, and qualifications.

The Mid-Atlantic Carpenters' Training Centers (MACTC) has conducted carpentry training programs for Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia since 1951. Students in this program are on a career path that promises good union jobs with superior health benefits and retirement pension plans. The MACTC apprenticeship is a four-year program consisting of on-the-job training and related school-based instruction. Our carpentry students are employed by union construction companies and earn some of the best wages in the industry.
The mission of the MACTC is to provide a world-class carpentry training experience that leads our apprentices and journeyman to master the carpentry trade through intensive hands-on instruction from exceptionally qualified staff using state-of-the-art facilities to make our contractors the most qualified and competitive in the industry.
