Founded by partners Edward Jones and Stuart Dallas in 2006, BEST Construction Control & Layout Services, Inc. (BESTCCLS) began as a firm specializing in Construction Surveying and recently expanded into Land Surveying. The vast majority of the BESTCCLS management team, including the owners, are former employees of JVH Construction Services, Inc.-a noted leader in the Construction Survey industry. The BESTCCLS business mission is to deliver the best possible product with the highest level of accuracy available and to do so as economically as possible in an effort to make our client's projects less stressful and more profitable.
The BEST office has had a very educational week. Last Tuesday we realized our system had been attacked by Ransomware. A real ass-kicker! It looks like it got in through remote access software. It seems it defeated Windows Essentials and totally encrypted the station it accessed. Luckily for us it’s access to our in house server was limited and my wife ,who copies in triplicate, was making an additional copy of the quickbook files weekly on a peripheral. She’s my hero!
