A new year, a new decade. 2020 will be a big year, especially for land surveyors. Just a decade ago, we were running tape along the ground as the go-to means of measuring distance. Now, we have technology that's revolutionized residential and commercial land surveying. The most improbably tasks 10 years ago are some of the easiest ones today. As far as land surveying technology has come, this is only the beginning. If we look ahead another decade, we may have newer equipment and resources that make ours look obsolete.

Currently staffing 50+/- employees, our motivated survey staff has allowed us to maintain our position at the top of the survey community in Southern California. Over the past 35+ years, Adkan has completed hundreds of topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and civil design and construction surveys on many private and municipal projects, some of which are detailed herein. As a State of California Certified SBE Firm, we currently field ten (10) survey crews, five (5) of which have GPS capabilities.

Ed Adkison, a founder of Adkan Engineers, is Adkan's Principal Surveyor. He has more than 38 years of professional surveying experience in Southern California. Mr. Adkison began his career in Orange County with Jerry Hayes, L.S., performing boundary and topographic surveys for service stations throughout California, Arizona and Nevada. Today, Mr. Adkison's experience includes all aspects of land development and has included managing a staff of up to 87 individuals. Mr. Adkison's field experience, combined with his management skills, affords him the full-working knowledge necessary to meet the needs of our clients.
