HCL's newest service offering focuses on commercial and municipal buildings and structures. Our architects utilize innovation and the latest software for their designs. This year, HCL Engineering & Surveying is officially celebrating its 20 year anniversary. When we opened our doors in March 1999, it was a booming economy where we enjoyed growth and innovation. Reflection. Reflecting on the past two decades in business, what. HCL is managing the water and sanitary sewer line design for the massive, $1.2 billion Central 70 design-build project in Denver, Colorado along the I-70 corridor.
Safety is one of HCL's key values. Each structural project is designed with safety first and foremost in mind. Past and current projects include highway / pedestrian bridges, culverts, outfall structures, retaining walls, sound walls, vaults, and water storage tanks, and numerous buildings, including schools, fire stations, office buildings, and multi-family developments. HCL has designed stations and provided civil engineering services on lines throughout the Denver region. We were the civil and structural design leads on the RTD Eagle P3 commuter rail system project, including station design, Park-n-Rides, structured parking, pedestrian bridges, pedestrian underpasses, local street, and drainage improvements.
The structural design team at HCL works closely with owners, architects, and builders to produce the most economical solutions to engineering challenges, both during construction and for long-term building use. We emphasize cost effectiveness while maintaining the ultimate goal of a safe, buildable, affordable, and attractive design. Our structural design team provides design, inspection, and rehabilitation services for all projects, big and small. Our experience ranges from elaborate office and industrial buildings to major highways and rail structures.
Civil Engineering has been a primary emphasis of HCL since our inception. Our experience varies widely and we are continually challenged by interesting and diverse projects. This experience is beneficial to both our private and government sector clients. Development requirements have evolved and become more complex, requiring civil engineers to be more knowledgeable and experienced in environmental protection, government agency policy, development goals, building codes, review procedures, and processing.
HCL recently added architecture to its list of professional services with a team of licensed architects experienced in the following construction types: office buildings, tenant improvements, industrial/manufacturing facilities, retail, and residential. HCL's architectural team focuses on municipal, commercial, industrial, and residential markets, with an emphasis on sustainable, efficient, and elegant design solutions. Architecture to HCL is about relationships, open and effective communication, and responsiveness to our clients and the surrounding context and environment.
