Wagner Excavating

Wagner Excavating is a family owned and operated business since 1973. We are a design-build earthwork and utility contractor. From conceptual ideas through professionally engineered plans, to final product, we can handle everything in-between.

In 1973, Roger who worked full time as a steam fitter for Optenburg Iron Works started plowing snow, sweeping parking lots, and hauling topsoil on nights and weekends. Shortly after working two jobs around the clock, he met an experienced equipment operator that said "I will work for you if you do this full time." After discussions with his wife Joyce, a decision was made to start Wagner Excavating Inc. Soon another truck and employee were added. It didn't take long to earn the reputation of providing a quality job on schedule.

Wagner Excavating Inc. can provide the client with surveying a vacant piece of land to final grading of the site development. We have the reputation of working with the approving and reviewing agencies. No project is too small or too big. We perform residential, commercial, agricultural, industrial, educational, religious, governmental, health care, and athletic field construction projects. We provide our client with in-house design-build capabilities for earthwork and utility projects. We implement the most current computer software, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D for the surveying and civil design drawings.

We work with you to understand the scope and specific requirements of each job. We pre-plan every aspect of our work before we are on-site to ensure that we do it in the most efficient way possible. Earthwork has been what we do since the company started. Whether it's site clearing, site development, or finish grading, we have the right equipment and right people to get the job done right.

We can provide our clients with full construction civil plan sets or just a small property survey. With an in-house, State of Wisconsin registered Professional Civil Engineer and State of Wisconsin registered Professional Surveyor, we provide in-house earthwork and utility projects.
