The Lucas Company incorporated in 1980 for general business purposes. Between 1972 and 1980 the company operated as a sole proprietorship under David M. Lucas, PE. In January of 1993 the firm changed its name to Lucas-Forman, Inc. Presently the owners/principals in the firm are Arthur F. Forman, PE, PLS, and Matthew J. Lucas, PLS. The remaining staff consists of 1 PE, PLS, 1 field surveyor, 1 staff Designer/Technicians, and 1 administrative person. David M. Lucas retired from the firm in 1993. The firm offers Land Surveying & Civil Engineering Services for projects in the greater Charlotte area (North and South Carolina) to a wide variety of clients, public and private.
