Established in 1996, we have a long history of providing quality land surveying services throughout the Southeastern U.S. and especially in the Atlanta, GA region. We routinely provide all types of surveys, including ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, construction layout services, and laser scanning services throughout the Southeastern US.

GeoSurvey offers a complete array of construction surveying services, including the layout of buildings, curbs, storm and sewer drainage systems, and other site features. We currently provide construction layout services for several major clients, including residential subdivisions and various commercial projects. We also provide 3D laser scanning services for the monitoring of construction projects. Utilizing this technology, we can quickly ascertain whether or not steel or other structures are being constructed according to design.

One of the most important services our company provides is the boundary survey. The purpose of a boundary survey is to reestablish and/or recover the property corners of a piece of property and accurately define the limits of the subject property. Property lines are identified on our final survey drawing using a system called "metes and bounds". Bearings accurate to one second of arc and distances to the nearest one hundredth of a foot are calculated for all boundary courses and depicted on our final drawing.

We depict the slope of the land utilizing contours, which are usually displayed at a one-foot contour interval on our maps. This type of survey is critical for civil engineers to use in designing improvements for a site. All decisions related to the design of the proposed improvement are made utilizing this data. In addition to contours, all other site information is depicted as well, including the location of existing buildings, drives, parking areas, spot elevations, and more. Some additional items we may include on our topographic survey are tree location and identification, utility location, and wetland location.

Our residential land surveying services are provided locally throughout Cobb County and surrounding communities and are priced based on certain criteria related to your property. All of our residential services described below are directly managed and completely reviewed and approved by one of our staff Registered Professional Land Surveyors. Please Note: Our fees for residential surveying services (described below) typically begin at $ 1,250.00 and go up depending on location, complexity and scope of services.

The GeoSurvey team is led by seven registered land surveyors and two land surveyor interns. Each Survey Project Manager manages multiple land surveying projects and is the direct point of contact for our clients.

The equipment and software resources a land surveying firm utilize are actually very important! GeoSurvey equips our crews with Trimble robotic survey instruments, GPS systems, and data controllers. All of our crews operate the same type of equipment, resulting in reliable data collection across all of our projects. Our drawings are prepared utilizing Autocad and Carlson software, creating a universally accepted digital document ready for immediate use by designers and developers. GeoSurvey equips all of our crews with Trimble S series robotic survey instruments and Trimble data controllers.
