When you have plans to build something remarkable - something that will make a lasting positive impact on your community - Draper Aden is here to help. We believe our engineering, surveying, and environmental services aren't just about well-developed plans, but the creative use of technology, and the spirit of working together to achieve a goal. Our work is about the new athletic fields where goals are scored, a pharmaceutical plant where life-saving medicines are discovered, and universities that educate the minds of the future.
In 1972, Joe Draper and Bill Aden formed Draper Aden Associates, a six-employee civil engineering firm in Blacksburg, Virginia. Today, it has grown into a full-service consulting and engineering firm with locations in Virginia and North Carolina and clients across the Mid-Atlantic region. Our teams provide a variety of services that range from civil engineering to surveying to environmental services. For more about what we do, explore our services page or contact us. Our vision is to leave a lasting, positive impact through our actions and relationships with our clients, community, and each other.
Planning work on an industrial site, pharmaceutical or manufacturing facility, energy station, or port takes knowledge and experience to make sure it's done right. Draper Aden can assist in all facets of preparing the site. We offer turnkey services from start to finish or assist with specific needs such as remediation, civil engineering, survey, permitting, and more. Our experience comes in all forms including site planning for large-scale manufacturing facilities and soils testing at proposed project sites.
