Freeman Companies, a multi-disciplinary engineering firm based in Hartford, CT, has an immediate opportunity for a two-year experienced site designer/landscape architect to join our landscape architecture studio. Job Description: The candidates will provide design and support services for private and public clients. Our project work ranges from municipal parks to urban streetscapes, residential communities, corporate and institutional facilities. Applicants should be responsible, hard-working, self-motivated, and detail oriented with strong design and graphic skills.

We are currently seeking a Party Chief to join our survey group. The selected person will be responsible for the overall completion of the field survey phase of specific projects, perform field computations necessary for the completion of task assignments; complete daily report cards, prepare field note sketches, document assignments, manage survey crew and give field time estimates for specific tasks. We are currently seeking experienced Instrument Operators. Applicant must be responsible, highly motivated, and a detail oriented individual able to work in a team environment as a key member of a survey crew assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of way acquisition, transmission line, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technology.

Position requires a PE licensed in Connecticut with at least 10 years of experience. Responsibilities include: managing the production of basic to complex levels of design for site, grading, utility, storm drainage plans and related tasks. Presenting at public meetings are integral functions of this position. Client and gov't agency interactions, managing internal budgets and production staff are some of the duties of this position. Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary. Candidates should have a minimum of four (4) plus years of experience within the area of land development, site design, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design.
