We are a team of 40+ employee-owners. Employee tenure is a hallmark characteristic of our culture. Our multi-disciplinary firm consists of professional engineers, land surveyors and landscape architects, and licensed aerial (drone) operators. Our project teams include engineers, survey field crews, survey technicians, CAD technicians, LEED accredited professionals, laser scanning/BIM experts, environmental planners and land planners, supported by a talented operations team focused on effectiveness and efficiency throughout the organization.

For twenty-five years, Meridian has navigated both state and local permitting authorities such as planning boards, conservation commissions, and Mass DEP with great success. Through vast experience in site planning and evaluation, site, civil, stormwater design and environmental services, Meridian has developed a streamlined process to positive outcomes.

Meridian's engineering and landscape architecture LEED-accredited professionals provide the necessary skills and expertise to build and render sustainable, secure, building sites. From the due diligence phases thru design and construction, Meridian works with commercial developers to create the practical civil engineering and landscape designs they need to meld with the emotional response they seek.

Landscape Architecture is fully integrated into our multi-disciplinary design approach that includes in-house land surveyors, civil engineers, LEED professionals and interdisciplinary environmental subconsultants to facilitate the design outcome. Our goal is to provide an innovative and enduring setting, accomplished in part through careful analysis of the unique natural and cultural dynamics that already exist. As stewards of the environment, our landscape architects draw on an understanding of all elements of an ecosystem to create the desired visual beauty, harmony and functionality.

Founded in 1990, Meridian Associates started with humble goals - to be the best civil engineering and land surveying firm in the area. The founders operated with a strong sense of clarity on how to achieve those aspirations: integrity, client focus, and responsiveness. Nearly 30 years later, Meridian remains as one of the leading civil engineering and land use planning firms in New England with a robust service offering and a diverse client base. Our services have continually evolved in response to changes in technology and our client demands.

Meridian is a regional engineer leading the site planning and design of solar infrastructure across New England. Applying our engineering, surveying, and permitting expertise to large-scale, ground-mounted solar photographic (PV) projects, we have assisted solar companies and contractors in project delivery throughout the feasibility, regulatory, design, and construction phases. Meridian has managed over 30 projects generating over 140 MW of renewable energy capacity in the states of Maine and Massachusetts over the past decade.
