At Boss Heating and Cooling, radiant heat is our specialty. We offer a variety of ways to install radiant heat in your home, garage, or snowmelt for your driveway. Garage and snow melting systems are buried in concrete. A snowmelt system typically has an eye or sensor that acts as the control and only turns the system on once it is covered by snow. This prevents wasteful use of the boiler system. Infloor radiant heat can be done in a multiple of ways. 1) Stapled under the floor 2) Snap Trac which is put down above the floor and tubing runs through a series of track with an aluminum backer plate for better heat transfer 3) Suspension system under the floor with aluminum heat transfer plates All can be very efficient when installed properly.

Geothermal heating and cooling is the MOST ENERGY EFFICIENT WAY TO HEAT AND COOL YOUR HOME. There are two major components of a geothermal system. The outdoor loops/heat exchanger and the indoor unit that contain the compressors and fan. The outdoor loops/heat exchanger can be done in a variety of ways. Vertical wells are the most efficient to bring in the water from the loops. A typical well is 100-150 feet deep. At this depth, the earth's temperature is very consistent. Horizontal loops, pond loops and slinky loops can also be used.
