We embrace market sectors and projects that contribute to positive experiences, and the creation of greater possibilities. Established in 1979 by Linda Taylor, AIA, ACHA, Taylor & Associates Architects, Inc. specialized in institutional work - primarily hospitals and other medical facilities. Taylor Design is now a strategy-based design firm specializing in healthcare, education, science & technology, and senior living market sectors. We discover, develop, and design solutions for the built environment.
Our design work focuses on creating a sense of community among users, laying the groundwork for successful business operations, and promoting sustainability. We believe in creating spaces of consequence-places where individuals can come together to develop an appreciation for community, a shared purpose, and identity. In such settings, experiences are enhanced and more authentic, cultures are enriched and new ones created, and a sense of community becomes more meaningful even while architectural designs are mindful of sustainability and set the stage for greater possibilities.
In collaboration with our internal management team, Taylor Design kept the progress moving, stayed on schedule, and provided design leadership throughout the project. The team made the most of the design opportunities presented to deliver as many enhancements as the budget allowed in line with the UCSD Vision and Brand, and provided cost effective and innovative solutions. In my 17 years of working with Kaiser, this was the best accessibility punch walk I have had. The Women's Pavilion is the example of how a well-run project goes when there is collaboration between the owner, architect, contractor and inspectors.
On this International Women’s Day, we wish to celebrate women's achievement, raise awareness against bias, and take action for equality. #ChooseToChallen ge #IWD2021 #InternationalWo men’sDay #GenderEquality #wearetaylor #lovewhereyouwor k
