In 2012, I volunteered along with other ASID North Chapter Interior Designers to design, create and implement a functional design for the Buyer's lounge for the Phoenix Fashion Week to showcase the latest and greatest fashions of the year from the local fashion designers and up and coming designers. The event was to take place at the Talking Stick Resort in a large open cathedral ceiling mezzanine and exterior courtyard where the runway was constructed. As a collaborative effort, we resourced local industry partners to sponsor furniture, furnishings, and materials needed to implement the design plan.

Creating a casual and comfortable design objective to accomplished for this breakfast area; simplicity in form, we found inspiration employing warm rust, caramel, sage tones with simple organic materials and textures. Adding a wood and iron chandelier highlights the area. The simple lines of the round table with 4 comfortable arm chairs and lumbar pillows for a pop of color. To ground the space, we introduced a large area rug placed underneath the table. Added also were 3 swivel counter stools at the island for additional seating that promotes family communication.

Her intuitive and creative ability to modify and transform dysfunctional dated, every day empty spaces into splendid, efficient and unique environments have proven to be very successful. This success is derived from open communication, pre-emptive actions, and a creative and adaptable design team made up of the client, the designer, the architect and the contractor(s).

These clients are retired military and have traveled all over. They desired a restful, safe, functional and a soothing beach inspired master bedroom and master ensuite. In the master bath, there was a dangerous step down into the shower from the floor level. I know that is just an accident waiting to happen. We had the shower totally gutted and the step down was filled to floor level with a gentle slope toward the drain with no curb. We also enlarged the shower footprint a little. Since the design plan was a beach-inspired space we selected the materials and colors of the beach and ocean, the soft aqua tones, creamy hues and sea mist greens.

Working with this client's own furniture and furnishings we tweaked, changed out and moved pieces until we got it right. The home had very great bones. The color palette was fresh. The entry and the custom door is a WOW. This home sold the very next day, and we'd like to think our home staging services helped this gorgeous Phoenix home a lot.

This Arcadia-area (Central Phoenix) client wanted a simple, clean lined modern design with pops of color for this homes staging. The fully remodeled home was done in a modern design concept which does make sense for a modern concept for the staging.
